NFPA 701 Fire-Rated Artificial Plants: What It Means and Who Needs It
NFPA 701 is the US flame propagation test fire marshals ask for on decorative greenery. What it tests, which projects need it, and how to check...
Read the guide →DVG USA supplies artificial green wall panels, hedges, hanging plants and trees for offices, restaurants, hotels, retail and public spaces. Standard panels are 40" x 40" (11 sq ft each) and need no water, light or trimming. NFPA 701 rated options are available for interiors where the fire code calls for them.
Stock ships from our California and Miami warehouses, typically in 1–3 business days to most of the USA. Send your wall size and we will reply with a panel count and a quote.

Dining rooms, corridors and meeting rooms rarely have the light real foliage needs, and living walls bring irrigation, drainage, grow lights and a maintenance contract.
Decorative materials in commercial interiors often have to meet NFPA 701. "Fire rated" with no named standard or certificate will not satisfy a fire marshal.
Foliage tone can shift between production batches. Ordering a staged project in tranches is how phase two ends up a different green to phase one.
A late delivery or missing fixings holds up an install crew that is already booked.
Artificial panels work in basements, bars, corridors and windowless rooms. Upkeep is a monthly dust with a microfiber head.
20 of our panels and garland sets are NFPA 701 rated, with certificates available on request for specifiers, builders and venues.
Order the full quantity at once to keep color consistent. Panels stack flat and store indoors without degrading.
1–3 business days to most of the USA from the nearest warehouse, 5–7 cross-country. Bulk orders can move as LCL freight.
Panels interlock and cut along the rear grid. Fix with zip ties, screws or staples; selected panels come on a metal frame.
Contractors, designers and resellers buying regularly can apply for a trade account.

Some are. Products whose pages state NFPA 701 include the 35" x 35" Tropical Forest and Tropical Vibe panels, the 40" x 40" extra dense boxwood panel on a metal frame and our hanging garland bush sets. Ask for the fire-test documentation for the exact product, and confirm requirements with your fire marshal or project engineer. See the full list.
Multiply the wall width by its height in feet and divide by 11 for 40" x 40" panels, then round up. A 16 ft x 8 ft wall is 128 sq ft, which is 12 panels. The 35" x 35" panels cover about 8.5 sq ft each, so the same wall takes 16.
Yes. Sample panels cost $10 to $15. We recommend checking them on the actual wall under the actual lighting, because LED color temperature changes how foliage reads.

Our green wall panels are rated for indoor and outdoor use and use foliage with in-leaf UV inhibitors. For terraces and poolside walls, choose UV-rated panels so color holds through summer.
Panels interlock and are fixed with zip ties, screws or staples, or by their metal frame on framed panels. Allow about 9 fixing points per panel. Installation is done by your own contractor or team, and our install guide and fixing kits make it a straightforward job.
Dust it monthly with a microfiber head. Outdoor walls can take an occasional low-pressure rinse. There is no watering, pruning or replanting.
